Summary of Rhode Island Surrogacy Law

RI has adopted the R.I. Parentage Act that allows surrogacy and we can obtain either a pre or post birth order. Intended parents do not need a genetic connection to the child, but the gestational carrier cannot use her egg. However, at least 1 of the IPs must be at least a U.S. resident.
