Summary of New York Surrogacy Law
New York pursuant to the Child Parent Security Act permits gestational compensated surrogacy arrangements and contract in New York State for all family types. While New York law recognizes gestational compensated surrogacy and allows establishment of a birth order for all family types, there are various regulations that need to be met in the surrogacy arrangement. For example, commercial surrogacy arrangement where a surrogacy agency is involved, requires the surrogacy agency to be licensed in New York State.
