What made you want to become a surrogate?

I experienced the struggle of some of my family members and friends with getting pregnant and felt drawn to help others complete their families and make their dreams come true.

Describe what being a surrogate has meant in your life.

Being a surrogate is a joy and honor that is hard to describe. knowing that you're helping give a family that has been waiting a lifetime to meet and love their baby is a feeling that can't be matched.

What advice would you give to someone who is just started to consider becoming a surrogate?

Go with your heart and enjoy this beautiful experience.

What advice would you give to someone who is about to start their first surrogacy journey?

Never be afraid to ask lots of questions. It may be a little scary the first time. But Surrogate Steps is amazing and will guide you through everything.

Describe the type and frequency of communication you had with your intended parents during your surrogacy journey(s).

With my first journey. We mainly kept in touch when it came to appointments. With my second journey was alot different. We texted almost weekly. About anything and everything. We became super close.

Describe the moment you saw the intended parents hold their baby for the first time.

Seeing the love in the eyes of your intended parents when they hold the baby they waited so long for is like nothing else. It was the sweatest and heart warming thing you could imagine.

Are you still in touch with any of the parents you carried for?

Yes

Please describe your current relationship and what sort of contact you have with the parents and or child.

With my first journey I get a birthday picture every year. That what we agreed on. With my second journey we talk about 2 to 3 times a month. We are friends on Facebook and they also just send me pictures of the baby all the time.

Please describe your experience working with Surrogate Steps in a few sentences.

I have been working with surrogate steps for the past few years now. They are all so wonderful and have helped me every step of the way.

Please describe each of your journey's in as much detail as possible.

My first journey was super laid back. We talk mostly through text. We weren't super close, but we do stay in contact. Now my second journey was completely different. Both parents are super involved. They text me all the time to check up. They came for the embryo transfer. We had dinners a few times together. They even came for a few of my appts. It was so amazing. Now they want me to do another journey for them. We are all super close now.
